Suyaara exists because talent is spread evenly across India and opportunity is not. We are building the layer that connects the two without a middleman taking a cut of a hopeful person's rent.
We started by asking why the same story kept coming back.
A performer trains for years, moves cities, pays somebody a “registration fee”, waits, and either gets nothing or gets work and then is not paid for it. We heard a version of that from almost every person we interviewed, across every language and every city.
None of it is a talent problem. It is an information problem and a trust problem stacked on top of each other. Casting directors genuinely cannot find people outside their own network. Performers genuinely cannot tell a real listing from a fake one. Both sides lose.
So the platform is built around two rules that are not negotiable: nobody pays to be considered, and no work starts until the money for it exists. Everything else on Suyaara is downstream of those two.
Who is behind it
Suyaara was founded by Naveen Chandra Samala and is built in Hyderabad. It is a vertical of Skillvelop Ventures Private Limited, not a company on its own — which is worth knowing, because the contracts you sign, the money held in escrow and any grievance you raise are all with Skillvelop.
Hyderabad is where we are, not who we are for. A dubbing artist in Kochi, a gaffer in Guwahati and a creator in Ludhiana are on exactly the same platform, with the same rules and the same protections. The industry has always concentrated opportunity in two or three cities; there is no technical reason for that to continue.

The person with the least power sets the rules
Every product decision gets tested against the newest, least connected person on the platform. If a feature works better for an established name than a first-timer in Bhopal, it goes back.
Money before work, not after
We would rather lose a listing than run one that is unfunded. Escrow is not a premium feature here — it is the only way a booking can exist.
Say the number
Rates, fees, plan prices, take rates. If we will not publish a number, that is usually a sign the number needs changing rather than hiding.
Regional is not a segment
Fourteen languages were in the first release, not the roadmap. Most of this industry does not happen in Hindi or in Mumbai, and the product should not assume otherwise.
